33 Bangladesh missions fail to achieve export targets
Thirty-three out of 53 Bangladesh missions failed to achieve respective export targets set for the first quarter (July-September) of the current fiscal year (2015-16), according to the latest statistics provided by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
The key Bangladesh missions like the ones in Berlin, Brussels, Beijing, Moscow, Paris, Rome and Geneva have failed to achieve export targets, while Canberra, Ottawa, New Delhi, Tokyo, Singapore, London and Washington have been able to reach targets for the July-September period.
The overall export earnings for the July-September period amounted to $ 7,758.99 million against the strategic target of $8,103 million, showing a fall of 4.25 percent.
