3 fake doctors fined in Ctg

A mobile court yesterday fined three fake doctors Tk 1.40 lakh in Sagorika Murgir Farm area of Chittagong city.

Sujon Debnath (Apon), who not even passed SSC exam, had been treating and prescribing patients at his chamber and was fined Tk 1 lakh while Mostafa Kamal and Pradip Kanti Das who had only LMAF degrees were fined Tk 20,000 each for running private chambers, said the magistrate.

The same court also fined Janata, Soudia and Loknath pharmacies Tk 25, 000 for selling unauthorised medicines in the area and Alangkar intersection.
