2 teachers jailed for supplying answers to examinee

Two female teachers were sentenced to two years' imprisonment for supplying answers to an examinee at a recruitment test in Bagerhat on Friday. 

The teachers were Smriti Rani Mallick, lecturer of Bangla department of the Collegiate School and Ratna Roy of Bagerhat Jadunath School and College.

Mobile court of Mahbubur Rahman, assistant commissioner of Fakirhat Upazila Land Office, gave the sentences during the recruitment test of land division under district administration at Bagerhat Collegiate School centre.        

Ratna tried to supply answers to one of her relatives with the assistance of Smriti Rani when the on duty magistrate of the centre caught her red-handed, informed Safiqul Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue).

Both teachers were sent to jail afterwards.
