2 killed in capital
The body of a man was found in a toilet of a hotel room while two youths were killed in separate incidents in the capital yesterday.
Kawsar, 35, a resident of Alamdanga in Chuadanga district, was found dead in a hotel toilet at Jagannathpur in Bhatara.
He along with a woman boarded the Hotel Heaven Touch on Tuesday. The woman told police that Kawsar fell down on the floor when he went to the toilet in the morning.
Police recovered the body and some medicines from the toilet of a room after the woman informed the hotel authorities.
The woman was not a relative of Kawsar and they took her to Police Station for interrogation, said the OC. The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
In another incident, Nurul Islam Sabuz, 35, a peon at the office of Gabtali Masjid Market Association, was killed by unidentified criminals at his office in Gabtoli area.
Darussalam police recovered his body from the office around 12:15pm and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Morgue for autopsy. Police said they found two blood smeared bricks lying beside the body. There was an injury mark in victim's forehead. Blood was also spotted in his nose, mouth and some parts of the body.
Meanwhile, Abdul Aziz, 30, a furniture shop employee, was found dead from the shop of Sikder furniture around 10:30 in Uttar Jattrabari area.
Aziz used to live inside the shop at night. When another employee opened the shop in the morning , he found his body lying on the floor, said Sub-inspector Jakir Hossain of Jatrabari Police Station. The body was sent to Sir Salimullah Mediacl College for autopsy. The body bore stab marks in the head and abdomen, said morgue sources.
