Following the publication of the SSC examination results, the online admission process for class XI for the 2026-27 academic year began on September 2, 2026. In the first phase, students can submit their applications until 8 PM on September 10. The second phase of applications for students whose results have been changed will take place from September 12 to 13, following the same process.

Students who have passed the SSC or equivalent examinations can apply online for admission to colleges across the country. There will be no admission test, and selection will be based on students' SSC or equivalent examination results. Let’s look at the application process.

Step 1: Visit the admission website

Students will have to apply online through the government-approved Class XI admission system: https://xiclassadmission.gov.bd/. The system is supervised by the Ministry of Education and is used for admission to both government and private colleges.

Step 2: Create an account by signing up

To create an account, students need to enter their SSC roll number, board, examination year, SSC registration number, and mobile phone number.

After confirming the phone number, an SMS containing the user ID and password will be sent to the provided number within 30 minutes. Students can then return to the login page and enter the user ID and password received by SMS.

Step 3: Review your information and search for colleges

After logging in, students can click on "My Profile" to check their personal and academic information.

Students can also use the "College Search" option to look for colleges. This step is optional, as colleges can also be searched while completing the application.

Step 4: Complete the payment

Before submitting an application, students need to pay the application fee of BDT 220 separately through the available payment gateways.

The portal accepts payment through nine gateways: bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Sonali e-Sheba, Sonali Bank Web, Upay, One Bank OK Wallet, SSLCOMMERZ, and Trust Bank Tap.

Students using mobile financial services can open the relevant app, go to the bill payment option and select XI Class Admission. They will then need to provide the required information and complete the verification process before making the payment.

Step 5: Apply by selecting colleges

After completing the payment, students can click on the "Apply" option to begin their application.

Students can search for colleges by entering the required information and select the colleges they want to apply to. The selected colleges can be arranged according to preference using the up and down arrows under the relevant option.

After arranging the choices in the preferred order, students should follow the instructions on the page and submit the application.

Students will be placed on merit lists based on their SSC or equivalent examination results. In case of equal GPA, total marks, and, where necessary, marks in specific subjects will be considered according to the admission policy. The merit list results will be published at 8 PM on September 17.
