The Wedding Show wraps up two-day exhibition
The Wedding Show, a wedding and lifestyle exhibition organised by Nibedita, concluded at the Grand Ballroom of Sheraton Dhaka in Banani today.
The two-day exhibition brought together wedding and lifestyle brands to showcase their products and connect with customers ahead of the upcoming bridal season, said a press release.
The exhibition featured bridal couture, jewellery, beauty, fashion, home décor, fragrances, gifting, and festive collections, allowing visitors to explore a range of products at one venue.
The event provided an opportunity to introduce new collections, receive direct customer feedback, and build relationships with potential and returning buyers.
Sania Afrin, owner of Merlotex, said the response to her brand had been encouraging, particularly after it introduced new product lines featuring natural dyes and local styles.
“We attend these exhibitions so that our clients can give us feedback directly,” she said.
Afrin added that some customers had placed additional orders through the brand’s Facebook page after purchasing products at the exhibition. She said such events helped businesses reach new customers and showcase a range of products in one place.
Nahila Hedayet, owner of Fragrance Bar BD, said the response had exceeded her expectations. Launched on October 2, the fragrance business participated in The Wedding Show as its second event.
With the bridal season approaching, brides, grooms, and their friends visited the stall to explore fragrances. Visitors could test different scents and experiment with mixing and matching them to discover their preferred fragrance notes.
“As a very new business, we are grateful to Nibedita for the opportunity to collaborate and participate in an event like this,” she said.
Ruqaiyah Mehnam Lolita, owner of Maison da Nazara, which sells imported home décor products, said exhibitions had helped her business build a base of repeat customers.
Participating in The Wedding Show for the first time, Lolita said customers she had met at previous exhibitions continued to provide feedback and enquire about new products.
“When I have a new product, they ask me to send them pictures of what has arrived,” she said.
Visitors also appreciated the opportunity the exhibition offered women entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses.
Nahla, who came from Mirpur, said she liked how the event brought women entrepreneurs together and helped introduce their products to a wider audience.
“I love how this event brings women entrepreneurs together and gives them an opportunity to present their businesses to a wider audience. It is great to see so many brands under one roof and have customers discover what they offer,” she said.
The exhibition also featured a raffle draw offering couples the chance to win return trips on the Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar-Dhaka and Dhaka-Sylhet-Dhaka routes.
The Daily Star and Jamuna TV were the media partners, Ajwah Events the décor partner and Weddings by Sakib Islam the photography partner. Eternal Beauty Lounge and Skin Cafe were the gift partners, Firsttrip the travel partner, Tickify the registration partner and Bahok Courier the courier partner.
Through the exhibition, Nibedita brought brands and shoppers together, creating an opportunity for businesses to reach new audiences while allowing visitors to explore wedding and lifestyle products in one place.
