SSG hands over Tk 10 lakh insurance claim to distributor’s family

Super Star Group (SSG) has handed over a death insurance claim of Tk 10 lakh to the family of one of its distributors.

The cheque was given to the nominee, the wife of Md Abul Kashem, who died on December 21, 2025, says a press release.

Family members, including his son and younger brother, were present at the handover ceremony.

SSG said the distributor was covered under a life and health insurance scheme introduced in November 2025 in partnership with Shanta Life Insurance PLC.

The ceremony was attended by Harun Ar Rashid, managing director of Super Star Group, and Nafis Akhtar Ahmed, CEO of Shanta Life Insurance.

SSG chairman Md Jalal Uddin, additional managing director Sheikh Tofael Ahmed, deputy managing director Sheikh Sadi Abdul Mojid and other senior officials were also present.

Speaking at the event, Harun Ar Rashid said, “The void left by the loss of a loved one can never be filled. However, our goal is to stand by our partners in their times of need. We hope this small contribution will provide some measure of financial security to the bereaved family.”

The company said the initiative reflects its commitment to providing financial security and support to its distributors and their families.
