Fresh LP Gas marks World LPG Day with tree plantation programme
Fresh LP Gas observed World LPG Day 2026 with a tree plantation programme and awareness activities, reaffirming its commitment to safe and clean energy solutions.
This year’s World LPG Day is being observed globally under the theme, “LPG: Pass it Forward”, according to a press release.
To mark the occasion, Fresh LP Gas organised a tree plantation programme at the Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) head office.
The company said the initiative reflects the connection between clean energy and environmental sustainability.
Fresh LP Gas, a concern of Meghna Group of Industries and a member of the World Liquid Gas Association, serves millions of customers across Bangladesh with around five million cylinders.
The programme was inaugurated by MGI Director Tanveer Mostafa.
Among others present were Abu Sayed Raza, chief marketing officer of Fresh LPG; Atiq Uz Zaman Khan, chief human resources officer; Syed Toufiq Uddin Ahmed (PPM, NDC), executive director (Admin); Sazzad Hossain (FCMA), senior general manager (Audit); and Md Hossain Mahmud, senior deputy general manager (HR).
Speaking at the event, Tanveer Mostafa said, "World LPG Day reminds us of the important role that clean energy plays in improving people's quality of life and protecting the environment. As a responsible organization, Fresh LP Gas is committed to expanding access to safe and reliable LPG while supporting initiatives that contribute to a greener future."
As part of the observance, Fresh LP Gas launched a nationwide tree plantation campaign across its offices, four LPG factory complexes and a network of more than 250 distributors.
The company also launched an online campaign encouraging members of the public to plant trees at their homes, balconies, rooftops or other suitable spaces and share photographs or videos on its social media platforms.
According to the company, selected participants in the campaign will receive gifts.
