Foodi brings accident insurance coverage for riders

Over 1,500 riders enrolled under new initiative

Foodi Express Limited has introduced accident insurance coverage for its riders through a partnership with Green Delta Insurance PLC.

The company, in a press release, said more than 1,500 riders have already been brought under the scheme, with plans to expand coverage gradually.

Under the initiative, Foodi will bear the full premium cost.

The personal accident insurance plan provides financial support in cases of death or permanent disability caused by accidents.

The company said partial disability will also be covered, offering financial assistance during recovery.

The coverage will apply within a specified period and will be renewable annually.

Md Shahnewas Mannan, chief operating officer of Foodi Express Limited, said, “Initially, Foodi has brought its top riders under this plan, with the goal of gradually extending the coverage to all riders.”

Abu Sayed, executive vice president and cluster head at Green Delta Insurance PLC, said the initiative will help ensure financial security for riders facing accident-related risks.

Both organisations said the programme aims to create a safer working environment and support riders and their families.
