Disability awareness idea contest launched for university students

A disability awareness idea contest has been launched targeting university students to promote inclusion and equal rights.

The initiative has been organised by Suborno Nagorik Foundation in collaboration with North South University School of Engineering & Physical Sciences and NSU Business Analytics Club, says a press release.

The programme was inaugurated on April 15 at the NSU Syndicate Hall.

Asif Iqbal Chowdhury, founder of Suborno Nagorik Foundation, said the initiative aims to engage future leaders in addressing disability-related challenges.

He said the contest will encourage students to develop ideas on issues including human rights, accessibility, economic inclusion and empowerment.

Participants can submit ideas between April 16 and April 30.

The organisers said the competition seeks to promote awareness and create practical solutions to reduce social and physical barriers.

Prizes include cash awards and certificates for the top five participants.

The event is supported by Berger Bangladesh and Lotto Bangladesh.
