CIU launches country’s first case writing centre
Chittagong Independent University (CIU) has inaugurated the CIU Case Writing Center (CCWC), the first initiative of its kind in Bangladesh, according to a press release.
The centre focuses on developing teaching cases based on real-life business scenarios for use in classrooms.
CIU said the initiative will produce globally accepted and locally relevant case studies to help business students understand practical challenges and strengthen analytical and problem-solving skills.
The centre has been established with support from The Case Centre, UK, located at Cranfield University.
Michael Goldman, associate dean at the University of San Francisco, chair of the Case Research Foundation and past president of the North American Case Research Association, joined virtually as special guest.
Vicky Lester, chief executive officer of The Case Centre, UK, attended virtually as guest of honour.
Aameir Alihussain, managing director of BSRM, attended as chief guest.
The ceremony was chaired by CIU Vice-Chancellor M. M. Nurul Absar.
