Pubali Bank holds cashless campaign at DMCH

Pubali Bank PLC recently organised an awareness programme, titled “Cashless Dhaka Medical College Hospital”, aimed at expanding digital transactions nationwide and making financial transactions easier, safer and more modern for patients and their relatives at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Brig Gen Md Asaduzzaman, director of DMCH, inaugurated the programme as the chief guest, according to a press release.

Speaking at the event, Asaduzzaman said the introduction of a cashless transaction system would reduce the use of cash for various hospital services and create opportunities for fast and secure digital payments.

“This will reduce the suffering of patients and their relatives and further expand digital financial transactions in the country’s healthcare sector,” he said.

“Such initiatives will play an important role in Pubali Bank’s continued efforts to ensure modern, technology-based and customer-friendly banking services,” he added.

Speaking as the special guest, Md Shahnewaz Khan, deputy managing director of Pubali Bank, said, “This initiative for cashless payments in the healthcare sector will play an important role in advancing the digital economy on a larger scale in the future.”

Md Rafiqul Islam, general manager and regional head of Dhaka South at Pubali Bank, presided over the ceremony.

Sadia Khan, additional director of the Payment Systems Department-1 at Bangladesh Bank, was present as the guest of honour.

Md Rabiul Alam, deputy general manager and head of the alternative delivery channel division at Pubali Bank, and NM Firoz Kamal, deputy general manager and head of the card business division, along with senior officials of both institutions, were also present.
