NCC Bank approves 21% dividend for 2025
NCC Bank PLC has approved a 21 percent dividend, including a 17 percent cash dividend, for the year that ended on December 31, 2025.
The approval was made at the bank’s 41st annual general meeting (AGM), held virtually recently, according to a press release.
Mohammed Nurun Newaz, chairman of the bank, presided over the meeting and said that despite global and domestic economic challenges, NCC Bank demonstrated remarkable resilience and strategic progress in 2025.
He emphasised that NCC Bank has been making steady progress by maintaining asset quality, increasing low-cost deposits, improving fund management efficiency, expanding fee- and commission-based income, adopting advanced technologies, ensuring transparency, accountability and good governance, and continuously enhancing customer service.
Abdus Salam, vice-chairman of the bank; Amjadul Ferdous Chowdhury, director and past chairman; Khairul Alam Chaklader, director and chairman of the executive committee; Md Moinuddin, Mohammed Sazzad Un Newaz, Syed Asif Nizamuddin, Shamima Newaz, Morshedul Alam Chaklader and Nahid Banu, directors; Tanzina Ali, director and past vice-chairman; Meer Sajed-Ul-Basher, independent director; and Md Amirul Islam, independent director and chairman of the audit committee, attended the event.
M Shamsul Arefin, managing director, said that throughout its 33-year journey, NCC Bank has emerged as one of the country’s most trusted and financially sound banks, earning the confidence and appreciation of its stakeholders. He said the bank’s current commitment is “Innovate to Evolve, Transform to Lead.”
A large number of shareholders joined the AGM virtually from across the country. They also approved the audited financial statements of the bank, along with the auditors’ report and the directors’ annual report placed before the meeting.
M Khurshed Alam, additional managing director; Md Zakir Anam, Mohammed Mizanur Rahman and Md Habibur Rahman, deputy managing directors; and Md Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, company secretary (current charge), also joined the meeting.
