Monzur Mofiz appointed MD of Premier Bank

Md Monzur Mofiz has been appointed managing director of Premier Bank PLC for a three-year term, effective from April 16, 2026.

Prior to the appointment, he had been serving as acting managing director of the bank since December 14, 2025.

He has more than three decades of banking experience, according to a press release.

Mofiz began his career with Sonali Bank PLC in 1993. He later served as managing director of ONE Bank PLC. He has expertise in corporate banking, fund management, retail and SME deposit growth, and agent banking.

He previously worked at Dutch-Bangla Bank, City Bank and AB Bank in various capacities.

He obtained his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) and an MBA in finance from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at the University of Dhaka.
