The Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) celebrated “Chartered Secretary Day 2026” yesterday, commemorating the enactment of the Chartered Secretaries Act, 2010, a landmark legislation that established and recognised the Chartered Secretary profession in Bangladesh.

The celebration brought together the institute's founders, members, students, professionals, chartered secretaries, executives from leading corporate houses, and other stakeholders to acknowledge the vital role of Chartered Secretaries in promoting corporate governance, regulatory compliance, ethical business practices, and sustainable organisational development.

As part of the daylong observance, a colourful rally was brought out from the Bangladesh National Museum in Shahbagh to the ICSB premises in Banglamotor.

The institute’s founders, members, students, Chartered Secretaries, corporate executives from leading business organisations, and other distinguished stakeholders attended the rally.

The daylong celebration also included a ceremonial cake-cutting ceremony, a discussion session, and a musical programme, in addition to the rally and other activities.
