Dhaka Bank sets up collection booth at DSCC Zone-2 in Khilgaon

Dhaka Bank PLC has launched a new collection booth at Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Zone-2 in Khilgaon to facilitate the collection of holding tax and trade licence fees from residents and business owners under the jurisdiction of the zone.

Md Abdus Salam, a freedom fighter and administrator of DSCC, inaugurated the booth on Wednesday, according to a press release. Osman Ershad Faiz, managing director of Dhaka Bank, attended the ceremony.

The new booth will enable residents and business owners in DSCC Zone-2 (Khilgaon) to conveniently pay their holding tax and trade licence fees at the designated collection point.

In addition to the physical booth, Dhaka Bank continues to offer multiple payment channels for DSCC taxpayers.

Holding tax and trade licence fees can be paid in real time through any branch of the bank across the country, as well as through the Dhaka Bank Mobile App and Internet Banking platform, a service available since the end of January 2025.

The bank said the new booth is part of its ongoing collaboration with Dhaka South City Corporation to promote digital and accessible public service delivery.

It previously inaugurated its first DSCC collection booth at Nagar Bhaban on July 2, 2025, followed by a second booth at Dhalpur on October 30, 2025.

Among others, Sheikh Abdul Bakir, deputy managing director of the bank; Mosleh Saad Mahmud, head of liability and cash management; Md Zahirul Islam, chief executive officer of DSCC; Junayed Kabir, chief revenue officer; and Akther Unnisa Shiuly, zonal executive officer of Zone-2; were also present at the ceremony.
