Dhaka Bank opens digital transaction booth at Uttar Shahjahanpur cattle market

Dhaka Bank PLC has launched a Digital Transaction Booth at the Uttar Shahjahanpur Cattle Market, which officially commenced operations on May 23, as part of the "Transaction Digitization of Cattle Markets Project 2026" initiated by the "Bangla QR Implementation Unit" of Bangladesh Bank.

According to a press release, AKM Shahnawaj, acting managing director of Dhaka Bank PLC, formally inaugurated the booth in the presence of Mostaque Ahmed, deputy managing director and CEMO; HM Mostafizur Rahman, SEVP and head of retail banking division; Mosleh Saad Mahmud, focal point and head of Bangla QR Implementation Unit; Syed Ghulam Dastagir, SVP and head of communications and branding division; and Md Reaz Uddin, branch manager of Shahjahanpur Branch, along with other senior officials of the bank and renowned personalities from the local community.

Through the booth, customers and cattle traders can pay Hasil using QR code facilities and deposit cash through the CRM machine on a 24/7 basis until Eid ul Azha.

Under the slogan "Making Bangladesh Cashless," Dhaka Bank has also arranged fund transfer, EFTN and RTGS facilities for both buyers and sellers from the booth during banking hours, ensuring a seamless and secure digital transaction experience at the cattle market.
