Badiur elected chairman of Al-Arafah Islami Bank

Badiur Rahman has been elected as the chairman of Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC.

The election took place recently at the bank’s 464th (emergency) meeting of the board of directors, according to a press release.

He is a sponsor director of the bank and a businessman by profession.

Badiur is also a director of AIBL Capital Market Services Ltd, Central Hospital Ltd, Human Resources Development Company Ltd, Millennium Information Solution Ltd, and HURDCO International School.

Meanwhile, Salim Rahman was elected chairman of the bank’s executive committee.

He is the managing director of KDS Group, which comprises the KDS Garments Division, KDS Accessories Division, KDS Textile Division, KDS Steel Division, KDS Logistics Division, and KDS Finance & Investment Division.

Salim is the first vice-president of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association. He previously served as chairman of the bank for two terms, in 2021 and 2024.
