Stocks maintain rising trend since morning

The Dhaka stocks maintained the rising trend of the last two days in the first half of today's trading.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), climbed 67 points, or around 1 per cent to 6,920 until 12.45 pm.

At the premier bourse, 263 stocks advanced, 80 declined and 34 remained the same.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also was in an upward trend.

The CASPI, the main index of the CSE, soared 179 points, or 0.89 per cent, to 20,233.

Among 243 traded stocks, 166 rose, 58 fell and 19 remained unchanged.
