Stocks maintain rising trend

The Dhaka stocks have so far maintained a rising trend today as general investors are hoping to see a better scenerio in the days to come.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), rose 15 points, or 0.24 per cent, to 6,773 until 12.30 pm.

At the DSE, 188 stocks advanced, 111 declined and 75 remained the same.

Savar Refractories topped the gainers' list that rose 10 per cent followed by Stylecraft, Tamijuddin Textile, Apex Spinning and Sonali Paper.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) was also rising.

The CASPI, the main index of the CSE, rose 25 points, or 0.12 per cent, to 19,706.

Among traded 235 stocks, 114 rose, 85 fell and 36 remained unchanged.
