Stocks gaining since morning

The Dhaka stocks started gaining from today morning after experiencing three consecutive days of drop.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), rose 18 points, or 0.28 per cent, to 6,755 until 12.45 pm.

At the DSE, 203 stocks advanced, 120 declined and 53 remained the same.

Stocks of Beximco Ltd traded mostly that worth Tk 34 crore followed by One Bank, Eastern Lubricants, IFIC Bank, and Saif Powertec.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also was in a rising trend.

The CASPI, the main index of the CSE, rose 63 points, or 0.32 per cent, to 19,669.

Among traded 247 stocks, 127 rose, 83 fell and 37 remained unchanged.
