Stocks fall 30 points in first two hours

The stock market fell in the first two hours of trading today thanks to the profit-taking tendency of the investors.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), dropped 30 points, or 0.43 per cent, to 7,055 until 12 pm.

At the DSE, 153 stocks advanced, 156 fell and 45 remained the same.

Many investors are taking profits as the market has been rising for four trading days in the week, according to market analysts.

Regent Textile shed mostly that dropped 12 per cent followed by Kohinoor Chemical, Aamra Networks, and Mithun Knitting.

Sena Kalyan Insurance topped the gainers' list that rose 10 per cent followed by Acme Pesticides, Kattali Textile, Aman Feed, and One Bank.
