Stocks bounce back

The Dhaka stocks bounced back today just after a day's correction.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), rose 46 points, or 0.67 per cent, to 6,998 until 12.10 pm.

At the DSE, 248 stocks advanced, 80 declined and 45 remained the same.

Yesterday, the DSEX fell 96 points.

SK Trims topped the gainers' list that rose 9.83 per cent followed by Saiham Textile, ML Dyeing, Tosrifa Industries and Sonargaon Textile.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) was also in a rising note. 

The CASPI, the main index of the CSE, rose 117 points, or 0.57 per cent, to 20,476.

Among traded 207 stocks, 124 increased, 62 fell and 21 remained unchanged.
