Stocks begin another day with rise

Stocks in Bangladesh rose for the second consecutive session today.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up 21 points, or 0.33 per cent, to close at 6,260 at 1:10pm.

Turnover, an important indicator of the market, stood at Tk 387.7 crore at that time.

Of the securities, 68 advanced, 21 declined and 227 did not show any price movement.

The Caspi, the all-share price index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange, gained 37.8 points, or 0.2 per cent, to close at 18,409.

Of the issues, 39 rose, 7 retreated and 71 did not see any price swing.
