Shahjalal Islami Bank holds 25th AGM

The 25th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC was held on May 24 through a digital platform. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank Mohammed Younus presided over the meeting.

According to a press release, the AGM approved a 13 percent cash dividend for shareholders and the directors’ report, audited balance sheet and profit and loss account for the year ended December 31, 2025.

Chairman Mohammed Younus and Managing Director Mosleh Uddin Ahmed delivered speeches at the AGM. SEVP and Company Secretary Md Abul Bashar moderated the programme.

Among others, Vice-Chairmen of the Board Mohiuddin Ahmed and Fakir Akhtaruzzaman, Directors Md Sanaullah Shahid, Abdul Barek, Akkas Uddin Mollah, Khandaker Shakib Ahmed, Md Towhidur Rahman and Abdul Hakim, Independent Director Md Reazul Karim, and Member of Shari'ah Supervisory Committee of the bank Mufti Mohammad Mizanur Rahman were also present at the AGM.

Besides, Additional Managing Director Md Abdullah Al-Mamun, Deputy Managing Directors MM Saiful Islam and Md Jafar Sadeq, Legal Advisor Barrister Khan Mohammad Shamim Aziz, External Auditor of the bank and Partner of Aziz Halim Khayer & Co Md Ashrafuzzaman, Independent Scrutinizer and Partner of Jasmin & Associates Jasmin Akter, and shareholders participated in the AGM.
