Prime Bank, ITFC explore new avenues for trade finance
A delegation from the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, visited Prime Bank PLC’s corporate head office in Dhaka today.
Adeeb Yousuf Al Aama, chief executive officer of ITFC, led the delegation.
Adeeb is visiting Bangladesh as part of a high-level official IsDB-ITFC mission at the invitation of the government from August 30 to September 3, 2026.
The delegation held strategic discussions with Prime Bank’s senior management team, led by Faisal Rahman, chief executive officer of Prime Bank PLC, along with other members of the bank’s executive leadership, according to a press release.
The meeting focused on expanding cross-border trade finance solutions and exploring areas of collaboration to support Bangladesh’s key trade and economic sectors.
Both institutions expressed optimism about future collaboration, including joint initiatives in trade facilities, foreign exchange liquidity frameworks and sustainable financing programmes in the region.
