LafargeHolcim Bangladesh PLC reported strong growth in both sales and profit last year.

In 2025, the company’s sales rose 6 percent year-on-year to Tk 2,931 crore, while profit surged 34 percent to Tk 510 crore.

On the back of improved earnings, the company’s board of directors declared a 40 percent cash dividend for the year, including an 18 percent interim dividend, according to a press release issued today.

Despite a broader slowdown in the construction industry due to reduced public sector spending, the multinational cement manufacturer posted robust sales and profit growth.

“Our commitment to innovation continues to yield results, with specialised cement products such as ‘Water Protect’ and ‘Fair Face’ achieving significant growth—a clear indicator of strong consumer preference and our sustained market leadership,” said Iqbal Chowdhury, chief executive officer of the company.

He added that although profitability faced pressure from rising energy costs and market volatility, the company implemented rigorous cost-efficiency measures and strategic pricing reviews to mitigate the challenges.

The company also expanded its specialised product portfolio this year with the launch of ‘Holcim Coastal Guard’ and ‘Powercrete’.

“These targeted solutions for coastal areas and the ready-mix segment reflect our continued focus on innovation and on meeting the specialised demands of our customers,” he said.

Meanwhile, the company’s share price fell 0.59 percent to Tk 50.6 today.
