Dhaka stocks open higher

Shares on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) opened higher today, the first trading day of the week.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the premier bourse in Bangladesh, rose 71 points, or 1.12 per cent, to 6,426 at 12:00 pm. Turnover stood at Tk 1,301 crore.

Of the securities, 268 advanced, 56 declined and 57 did not show any price movement.
