Biman Cox’s Bazar-Dhaka flight lands safely after technical, operational delay
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Cox’s Bazar landed safely at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 3:10pm today after being delayed due to operational and technical issues, the airline said.
All passengers and crew members aboard flight BG436 were safe, Biman said.
The airline attributed the delay to “unavoidable operational and technical circumstances” but did not specify the nature of the problems or how long the delay lasted.
Biman said the flight landed safely under the immediate guidance of Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat and through the efforts of its pilots, engineers, ground staff and airport authorities.
In August this year, a Biman flight from Toronto to Dhaka was delayed for nearly 40 hours in Rome due to a technical fault, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded.
In May last year, another BG436 flight on the same route landed safely in Dhaka under emergency arrangements after losing a wheel from its left main landing gear shortly after taking off from Cox’s Bazar.
