Shamsul Arefin passes away

Bangladesh Badminton Federation's general secretary FM Shamsul Arefin died of cancer at the BIRDEM Hospital in Dhaka yesterday. He was 65.
Arefin, who was suffering from liver cancer for the last seven months, is survived by his wife, one daughter and a host of well-wishers.
The first namaz-e-janaza of the deceased was held at the Baitul Esteram Jame Mosque in Mirpur yesterday. Arefin, who was also general secretary of Pabna District Sports Association, will be laid to eternal rest in Pabna today.
