Mujib Borsho : Free trips for buss passengers in Faridpur

People of Faridpur ould enjoy free trips on all internal routes tomorrow on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

District Bus Owners' Group, Minibus Owners' Association, and Faridpur Motor Workers' Union decided to make public transport free for all, all day that day.

No public transport ould charge passengers from 6:00am on March 17 to midnight, said General Secretary of Motor Workers' Union Golam M Nasir.

Actions will be taken against bus drivers, their assistants and supervisors if anyone charged any fare or harassed any assengers on the day, he added.

Celebration of the birth centenary has been scaled down due to the global coronavirus outbreak.
