Ctg Boat Capsize: Four more bodies found

Four more bodies were recovered yesterday from near the spot where an engine-run boat carrying around 50 people capsized in Sandwip Channel of Chittagong on Sunday night, raising the death toll to 18.  

The victims are Tahsin, 9, and Niha, 5, children of Muslim Uddin; Anwar Hossain Shipon, 37, of Sandwip upazila; and Harunur Rashid, 60, of Kushtia, said Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Golam Zakaria.

Twenty six people either managed to swim ashore or were rescued by locals after the incident occurred due to rough weather in Guptachhara area around 8:00pm.

Four names remain in the list of the missing but no such persons were found to exist when the corresponding addresses were contacted while none has come forward for updates, said the UNO.
