On the eve of international Women’s Day, the tale of Draupadi was brought to life at EMK Center, Dhanmondi.

Specially abled children of all ages gathered together at the premises of the Faculty of Fine Art (FFA), University of Dhaka (DU), for the art camp, Art for Autism 2020. Organised by Countrywide Health Initiative for Learning and Development (CHILD) Foundation in cooperation FFA, the fourth edition was inaugurated by Professor Nisar Hossain, Dean, FFA, DU.

Throughout decades, over a million Rohingyas have fled the violence in the Rakhine state of Myanmar. Film enthusiasts gathered at the Shawkat Osman Auditorium of the Central Public Library for the opening ceremony of the 15th International Short and Independent Film Festival, on December 7. Organised by Bangladesh Short Film Forum, the festival will conclude on December 13.

On Saturday, artist Marufa A Chowdhury opened up about her experiences at Art Talk in 3rd Space, Dhanmondi. Titled Contrast in the rural and urban, the talk was hosted by Arafat Ahmed Ali. Just as the title suggests, the theme of the three-day exhibition is Inktober, the practice of creating an artwork every day for the month of October.

Batighar Dhaka, a place usually known as a hub for bookworms, welcomed people with canvases and paint brushes on Friday, as Worthy Publications launched their new line of books: The Mason Jar 2,The Little Sounds of Time and the Worthy Classic Series.
