Sara Ali Khan to debut in Karan Johar film

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has confirmed that her daughter Sara Ali Khan will be making her debut in the Indian film industry under director Karan Johar. 

For a while now, Sara's name has been attached with several films, including Dharma Productions' “Student Of The Year 2”, Karan Malhotra's next and also the “Fault in Our Stars” remake. But now, although Saif didn't divulge details of the film Sara's been signed on for, under Karan Johar's banner, he confirmed that it will indeed be Johar who will be mentoring her, reports DNA. 

“I am very happy to see Sara doing whatever she has her heart set on. We talk constantly and she discusses whatever she wants to and I give her my advice. But eventually it is her decision,” Saif told Pinkvilla.

When asked about her film with Karan Johar, Saif made it official, “I think she is going to. I am very happy she is working with Karan Johar because I think he is brilliant with newcomers and he will launch her correctly. He is a very intelligent and a passionate filmmaker and he understands films. I am very pleased that she is with him.”

A source had only recently also revealed to Hindustan Times that Sara Ali would be replacing Disha Patani in “Student Of The Year 2”, opposite Disha's rumoured real-life boyfriend Tiger Shroff.
