US-based staffing services opens its regional HQ in city

The Horizon Staffing Services (HSS-USA), one of the fastest growing and largest staffing services in the US, has set up its regional headquarters named as Horizon Staffing Services Asia Pacific Ltd (HSS-ASL) in the city.

This was stated by the officials of HSS-USA at a press conference at Sheraton Hotel yesterday.

Headquartered in Connecticut, the HSS-USA has over 40 offices all over the North America and the Dhaka office will be the first of its kind outside the USA, they added.

Speaking at the press conference Ahmed A Ahsan, chief executive officer (CEO) of HSS-USA, said they intend to transfer their expertise and experience of human capital augmentation industry from USA to Bangladesh with a mission to transform the local talent pool into highly skilled workforce.

"Our team will groom up individuals and be the voice for thousands of skilled Bangladeshis in international market through their parent company in USA," said Naila Chowdhury, managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) of HSS-APL.

Naila also announced the launching of 'Horizon International Institute of Training (HIIT)'.
