RMG workers agitate for salary

Around 300-400 workers of Aporupa-2 garment factory at Tejgaon laid a siege to the factory head office around 1:30pm demanding their salary arrears of two months and Eid bonus.

Later police dispersed the crowd and charged batons on them leaving around 10 workers injured.

Reena Akhter, one of the injured workers, told the reporters that they were forced to stage a demonstration as the factory owners refused to pay them their salaries and Eid bonus in due time in spite of repeated appeals.
