JU students continue agitation
Some unruly students of Bangla department, loyal to the accused teacher who allegedly sexually harassed a female student of the department, yesterday threatened their department's chairman for not taking measure against the teacher while departmental students continued demonstration demanding immediate investigation into the allegation.
A group of 5/6 students stormed into the chairman's room at 10:30am and threatened of an imminent clash among the department's students if any action is taken against the teacher.
Meanwhile, Progotishil Chhatra Jote (PSJ) submitted a memorandum to VC yesterday demanding immediate probe into the allegation of sexual harassment while students of Bangla departments and students under the banner of general students brought out separate processions on the campus.
The university administration claimed to have taken necessary measures to avoid any harassment on any student or avoid any untoward incident.
