On November 16, a female student submitted a written complaint to Bangla department Chairperson Prof Sauda Akhter, where she alleged that one of the teachers of the department sexually abused her at his office.

She further alleged that she had to leave the campus in the face of continuous threat on her life and reputation.

Meanwhile, the students of Bangla department will announce protest programmes today to press the demands while Jahangirnagar Sangskritik Jote began signature campaign at all dormitories of the university.
