One killed in blast while making bomb

Locals found the body on a paddy field, 500 metres off the explosion site, in the morning and informed the police.

According to police the bomb exploded with a big bang at about 8:30pm when some unidentified youths were making it at the house of Abdul Majid.

The law enforcers also recovered some bomb-making materials from the tin-roofed house that was badly damaged in the explosion.

They could not arrest anyone as all members of the house fled the scene immediately after incident.

Officer-in-charge of Mithapukur Police Station said they are investigating the incident and looking for the persons involved.
