Two convicts flee from cop in Ctg

The convicts are Osman, 35, son of Abdul Mannan, convicted by a court here for 10 years in jail and Didarul Alam, 30, son of Shah Alam, convicted by another court here for one year imprisonment. Both of them hailed from Satkania.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Satkania Police Station Jalal Uddin Ahmed confirmed the incident.

Another report adds: Chittagong police arrested three criminals, including a convicted man, and recovered a light gun (LG) with three cartridges after conducting separate drives at Banskhali and Lohagora upazilas on Monday night.

Banskhali police arrested one Absar, son of Badiul Alam, with the LG from Zaliaghata in the early hours of yesterday.

Following his confession, a team of Banskhali Police Station arrested his associate Shafi from the port area yesterday morning.
