Radio Today begins commercial broadcast

Information Minister M Shamsul Islam inaugurated the formal commercial broadcast of Radio Today at the Utshab Hall of Hotel Radisson on October 15, says a press release.

Deputy Minister for Information Abdus Salam Pintu was present at the inaugural programme as special guest while Information Secretary Md Abdul Quayyum was also present.

Expressing his best wishes to the innumerable listeners of Radio Today, first ever non-government FM radio station, the information minister hoped that Radio Today will create a milestone as the pioneer radio brand.

Chairman of Radio Today Md Mozammel Haque and Managing Director Rafiqul Haque also spoke on the occasion.

Eminent political figures, foreign delegates, business icons, media persons and professionals were present at the programme to express their warm wishes at the inaugural ceremony.

Radio Today started its experimental broadcasting on May 5 and is now broadcasting round the clock.

Radio programmes like traffic update 'Dhaka Chaka,' drive show 'U turn' and request programme 'Tobe Tai Hoke' have already got tremendous public acclamation.
