Hurling bomb at RU teacher's residence condemned
Rajshahi University Teachers Association (Ruta) yesterday expressed grave concern over hurling petrol bomb at the residence of former Ruta president Professor Nazrul Islam, also a teacher of Accounting department.
Earlier on October 9, unidentified miscreants hurled petrol bomb at the Bonodpur residence of former Ruta president.
Ruta in a statement condemned the incident and demanded immediate investigation into the incident and exemplary punishment of the culprits.
Meanwhile, some pro-Awami League teachers of the university slated issuing of a statement after three days of hurling petrol bombs at the house of its former president.
They said Ruta should be more active and vocal on teachers' issue.
