Withdrawal of price hike of RU admission forms demanded

Earlier, the PCJ, an alliance of left-leaning student organisations, submitted a memorandum to Vice Chancellor Prof Altaf Hossain for the same demand.

At a rally in front of the central library, PCJ leaders announced that they would observe a student strike on the campus on November 4 protesting price hike of admission forms.

They threatened to lay a siege to the university branch of the bank concerned and resist the sale of forms unless the increased price is withdrawn. They also threatened to call an indefinite strike from the first day of the admission test if their demand is not met.

Samajtantrik Chhatra Front (SCF), RU unit President Shusantho Singha presided over the rally.

Earlier, RU authorities increased the price of admission forms from Tk 90 to Tk 100.
