FM urges Norwegian cos to explore gas in Bay

Morshed Khan lauded the role played by Norway immediate after liberation of Bangladesh in rehabilitation work. "Both Bangladesh and Norway have been working together for global peace and prosperity," he said.

Meanwhile, new Danish Ambassador Einar H Jensen also paid a courtesy call on the Foreign Minister at his office.

The FM expressed gratitude for the contribution of Denmark in economic and infrastructure development of Bangladesh and appreciated the support of Denmark for increasing Bangladeshi exports.

The envoy briefed the FM about Bangladesh-Denmark Partnership plan for 2005-2009.

In this regard, the foreign minister said there are a number of areas to cooperate each other for mutual benefit and emphasised more interactions between the private sectors of the two countries.

Director General (Europe) Nazmul Quaunine was present on the occasion.
