Tarun Gogoi sworn in as Assam CM
Incumbent Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi was on Sunday sworn in for his second consecutive term, ushering in Assam's first coalition government headed by the Congress.
The oath of office and secrecy was administered to Gogoi by Governor Lt Gen (retired) Ajai Singh at a simple function in the Durbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan in Guwahati.
The members of the new ministry will be sworn in at a later date.
