Use solar energy to electrify rural areas: Bhuiyan

He was speaking as chief guest at a ceremony marking installation of 30,000 Solar Home Systems (SHS) financed by Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL) at UTC Convention Hall at Kawran Bazar in the city recently.

Chaired by IDCOL Chairman and Economic Relations Division Secretary Mirza Tasadduq Hussain Beg, the function was also addressed by Executive Director and CEO Dr M Fouzul Kabir Khan, World Bank Sector Manager (Energy) for South Asia Ms Penelope J Brook.
