Kuwait donates $ 1 m for flood victims

The Kuwait government has donated relief goods worth one million US dollar to ameliorate the sufferings of the flood-affected people of Bangladesh.

This assistance is a gift from the people of Kuwait for the brotherly people of Bangladesh and its reflects the extremely warm, cordial and fraternal relations between the countries and their peoples that stood the test of time, says a press release.

The assistance has been given in the form of food, water purification, medicine, clothing, shelter and other essential items.

The assistance has been sent through Kuwait Red Crescent Society which will coordinate its activities here with the cooperation of the Federation of International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and Bangladesh Red Crescent Society.
