Arrest of killers of journalist demanded
Journalists of Manikchhari Press Club submitted a memorandum to the state minister for home through the deputy commissioner on Wednesday demanding immediate arrest of and punishment to the killers of their colleague Kamal Hossain.
On the last day of three-day mourning programme, the newsmen took out a protest rally in the town and handed over the memorandum.
A similar memorandum, on behalf of Laxmichhari Press Club, was also handed over to the DC.
Manikchhari Upazila Press Club General Secretary and Ajker Kagoj correspondent Kamal Hossain was kidnapped and killed by masked assailants on Sunday.
