Judgement on Aug 30

On completion of the arguments of the prosecution and the defense, Judge Md Fazlur Rahman fixed the date.

The court recorded the statement of 41 out of 57 prosecution witnesses. Of them 10 were eyewitnesses.

Kazi Aref Ahmed, a central leader of JSD and one of the organisers of the liberation war, was killed along with his four local party colleagues at Kalidaspur village under Daulatpur upazila in Kushtia district on February 16, 1999.

The local leaders were Kushtia district JSD president Lokman Hossain, general secretary advocate Yakub Ali, Israil Hossain and Somser Mondol.
