Nestle contributes Tk 30 lakh for flood victims

Nestle Bangladesh Limited contributed Tk 30 lakh for flood victims, says a press release.

Managing Director Carlo Cifiello handed over a cheque for Tk 10 lakh to Prime Minister Khaleda Zia for the Prime Minister's Relief Fund on August 22. This amount also includes a voluntary contribution of one-day's salary from Nestle employees.

The company also distributed relief materials worth Tk 20 lakh through their countrywide network for flood victims. The relief activities include distribution of cereal-based balanced foods, noodles and other food items, medical services as well as emergency financial assistance. The company provided meals to around 18,000 people across the country.
